TWINS & TELOMERES – in Space!
We assessed telomere length and intimately related DNA damage responses in twin astronauts Scott and Mark Kelly, and ten unrelated astronauts before, during, and after one-year or 6-month missions aboard the International Space Station. Our findings provide potential mechanistic insight, and reveal important differences in individual responses to long-duration spaceflight.
